Welcome to the Sky with Melhorn Aviation

Melhorn Aviations flies a 1969 Cessna 172K and a 1972 Cessna 150 out of a grass strip airport in East Tennessee. Flying around the Great Smoky Mountains and East Tennessee during the Fall provides amazing views of the colors that the area has to offer.

First Solo Flight

Melhorn Aviation's first solo flight was March 8, 2021 at KDKX (Island Home) in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee.
